The Workers Compensation Board (WCB) is currently monitoring the potential Canada Post disruption of their mail delivery services.
If necessary, the WCB will institute its Postal Disruption Contingency Plan.
In the interim, the WCB suggests that its stakeholders consider implementing the following arrangements:
Injured workers and healthcare providers:
- To avoid picking up cheques in person during a postal disruption, we encourage injured workers and healthcare providers to set up direct deposit.
- To request direct deposit, please complete the Worker Direct Deposit Form or Healthcare Direct Deposit Form and email it to DirectDeposit@wcb.mb.ca.
Signing up for Direct Deposit is highly encouraged to ensure no delay in receiving payments.
Employers:
- Employers can pay their premiums in several ways as an alternative to sending payment via Canada Post. For details, visit www.wcb.mb.ca/paying-your-premium or contact our Assessment Services Department at 204-954-4505 or 1-855-954-4321, ext. 4505.
