Policy Update 02-23

• 21.10.40, Expenses for attendance at Appeal Hearings:

          The policy was updated to refer readers to the WCB Intranet for current rates.

• 21.30.10, Authority for Execution of Documents:

The policy was revised that Employee Pension Plan matters are approved by the Finance Committee not the Governance Committee.

• 31.05.10, Cost Relief/Cost Transfer - Class E Employers:

This policy was updated to clarify that the effective date also applies to any reconsiderations and appeals of these decisions after January 1, 2023.

• 35.20.60, Security Requirements for Class B Employers:

The policy was updated to correct a typographical error in the amount of security required from Class employers.

• 35.40.50, Overpayment of Benefits:

The policy was updated to correct a duplication in the history section.

• 43.20.40, Relocation:

Reimbursement of Relocation Costs (Attachment B) was adjusted effective October 1, 2022. In February 2023, Canada Mortgage Housing Corporation released the Winnipeg Rental Market Report. This report displays the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment referred to in the policy.

• 44.80.30.20, Post-Accident Earnings - Deemed Earning Capacity:

Schedule 'A', Minimum Weeks of Job Search, updated effective July 1, 2023 to reflect the 2022 Labour Force Survey (LFS) annual average estimates released by Statistics Canada.
