(Brent Kreller) Hi there, I know many people are concerned that if they report a workplace injury to WCB that their employer may look unfavourably towards them. You know, I can let you know that as a major employer in the province we don't, that's not the case at all. - It's actually the opposite. We really encourage employees to report so that we can learn from and benefit from those injuries and try and prevent them in the future. It's also in the employee's best interest to do that in case the injury lingers or becomes a problem; maybe not immediate but a month down the road. So there's lots of benefits of reporting and employers can't treat anyone who did report in an unfavourable manner. That's not appropriate and not tolerated in Manitoba.
